31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

Cpl. Christopher Salinas, a field radio operator with 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company identifies a simulated target using the Defense Advanced Global Positioning System Receiver and Vector 21B Laser Range Finder systems in Okinawa, Japan, June 6, 2018. During the training, fire support Marines with 5th ANGLICO called in close air support and indirect fire to support simulated allied forces through the suppression and neutralization of a simulated enemy threat. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations.
