DESRON 7 joins VP-47 Women's History Month Observance
OKINAWA, Japan (Feb. 12, 2019) — Capt. Ann McCann, Commander, Destroyer Squadron 7, gives remarks to Sailors assigned to the "Golden Swordsmen" of Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 during a Women's History Month observance held by the command's Diversity Committee. VP-47 is currently deployed to Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan conducting maritime patrol and reconnaissance and theater outreach operations within U.S. 7th Fleet (C7F) area of operations in support of Commander, Task Force 72, C7F, and U.S. Pacific Command objectives throughout the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
