KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Senior Airman Nathen Sanchez, 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution operator, carries a refueling hose to an F-15 Eagle during a hot-pit refueling at Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 14, 2022. Hot-pit refueling uses a single-point refuel pump which allows an aircraft to be refueled immediately after landing, with the engine running. This cuts down on response time and ensures the mission can be completed anytime, anywhere.
