It really took a fairly long time for me to fondly warm up to the A&W Restaurants in Okinawa. A&W in most respects is a forgotten hamburger franchise back in America which can be hard to find and harder to force one's self to eat at.

My new favorite taco place is Hungry, right off the 6 from 329.  It’s a little enclosed kitchen-shack in front of the owners’ home, complete with picnic tables,  counter-bench area, and drink machine!  The taco shells are made to order, but you won’t wait long.  And after you taste them, you’ll gladly wait longer the next time.

"Furaibo": a small local eating/drinking place "izakaya" located in the heart of the Kakazu residential neighborhood in Ginowan.

One of the best places to find some high quality Chinese food in Chatan is Ryu's Dining. From outside it may look a bit eccentric, but you won't leave the place without wanting to return.

I’m not really a big fan of breakfast. I know that I should be, since it’s “the most important meal of the day” and all that jazz, but I hate mornings. Breakfast generally happens in the morning and, for me, it means that breakfast generally gets skipped so that I can spend a few more blissful minutes basking in the snuggly warmth of my bed.
