When I was eight years old my parents would take me to a fishing village for summer vacation. We would jump on the ferry from the city and land far away in a remote rock in the middle of the sea; it could have been some pirate’s lair.

Just a skip and a jump from Shuri Castle, Vegie Cafe Shanti serves up mouthwatering vegetarian Nepalese food in a friendly, informal storefront.

While on a long drive up north, we found a ‘classy looking sign’ which advertised the “Green Room Café” We happened to be coming from the Pineapple Park, and were hungry, looking for a place to eat above Nago.  We decided to follow the signs for...  what seemed like eternity.  But isn’t that how it always seems

I have been to T-Bones at the NCO Rocker a couple of times for lunch, but today when I found out they were having a Mongolian BBQ night we decided to give them a try for dinner.
I have to say, the food was delicious and had me thinking about the Mongolian BBQ places back in the states.

I had my Mom and Grandma visiting from the States and it was their last full day there. After spending the day at Okinawa World, we wanted to take them to a Teppanyaki restaurant for dinner.

Sometimes, friends and acquaintances commend my “ability” for “just getting out there” and “finding” cool things to do or eat or experience.
