10K Eisa dancers to return to Kokusai Street Aug. 4
Take part in one of the cultural events of the season at Kokusai Street in Naha.
On Aug. 4, around 10,000 dancers will flock to area as part of the “25th Ichimannin no Eisa Odoritai.” The event brings dance teams from across Okinawa to present various styles and moves on the one-mile stretch, which is usually crowded with vehicles and pedestrians.
Performers include a group of 1,000 dancers and 70 teams made up of youth and children, who are expected to entertain the crowd with dynamic performances.
Feel like busting a move? Join the scratch team, no prior experience necessary. MCCS will also be offering a tour to get you to this event.
