Every fall Yomitan Village, the host municipality of Torii Station, adds a bit of excitement to its usual peaceful, relaxed vibe in time for Yomitan Matsuri.

The fun event will take place at Yomitan-son Undo Hiroba on Oct. 25 and 26 and include plenty of food booths, craft booths and entertainment.

Expect a variety of stage performances like karate demonstrations and dancing. Pick up some local goods and bonsai trees from local vendors. Each day will also close with big fireworks displays.

On Oct. 24, Peace and Piece Music Live ♪, a music festival for peace will be hosted at the venue. Don’t miss popular Okinawan musical acts like the Diamantes and D-51.

It’s a fun and music-packed weekend in Yomitan you won’t want to miss!
