Aomori is the northernmost prefecture on Honshu Island. A land of dramatic coastlines, dense forests, and a high percentage of national parks, it also boasts a unique culture, dialect (Tsugaru-ben), and many charms to offer visitors. Major cities include Aomori City (the capital), Hachinohe, Hirosaki, Misawa, Towada and Tsugaru.

I’m thrilled about all of my vacations, but the moment we decided to take time off and fly to Hawaii I was giddy with excitement. In fact, the 7-hour flight has never felt shorter.

Friday – Cocktails
We touched down in Taipei with one goal for the night – to indulge in world-class cocktails at the city’s notorious speakeasies.  

Iriomote Island seems rather empty and it is nature pure. It is covered in sub-tropical jungle said to be the last remaining rain forest in Japan.

Laughs of joy could be heard everywhere.
