Did you know?: 2020 could have been the 5th Olympics hosted by Japan
Japan has hosted the Olympics three times in the history – Tokyo (summer) in 1964, Sapporo (winter) in 1972 and Nagano (winter) in 1998. And, as you know, Tokyo will host another summer games in 2020. Tokyo was also chosen as the site for the 1940 summer games, but those, along with the 1944 games, never happened because of World War II.
