Ryukyu glass sculpture, one of the signature products of Okinawa, developed significantly in the 1950s when colorful products started to be manufactured by utilizing empty  bottles of cola, beer, and whisky. Back then, many products were designed to cater to customers from the states. Many of these designs still are made to this day.
