Expo Park and Churaumi Aquarium Still Closed

The Ocean Expo Park remains closed, according to the Ocean Expo Park Management Center.

This popular tourist spot in Motobu town is home to attractions such as Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Emerald Beach and more. The park has been closed since April 19, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

No date has been set for the reopening of the park, according to the management center.

(Regular) Hours: 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Mar through Sep), 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Oct – Feb)
(Regular) Hours for aquarium and its related attractions: 8 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Mar – Sep), 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Oct – Feb)
Admission to Expo Park: free (on-site attractions including Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium are subject to admission fees.)
Admission to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium: 1,880 yen for adult, 1,250 yen for high school student, 620 yen for middle and elementary school student, free admission for under 6 years of age (After 4 p.m., the fees are discounted to 1,310 yen, 870 yen, and 430 yen respectively.)
