Get a taste of Orion Beer at Nago City factory

Orion is Okinawa's iconic beer brand, one that is synonymous with a carefree sub-tropical lifestyle. It is a great way to introduce yourself to the flavors of this paradise, at least until you are ready to try Awamori, the local firewater made from fermented Thai Jasmine rice. There is no better way to get acquainted with this beer of beers, than to join a guided brewery tour at their factory in Nago City, about an hour's drive north of Naha. It is best to come here on weekdays to see the factory at work, and for English tours you should book one month in advance. Otherwise there are basic English brochures which accompany the Japanese language tours. There are also two free beers at the end for all visitors over the legal drinking age, and a restaurant and shop on site to remember your day here.
