To celebrate the harvest season, Ginowan City’s Local Industries Festival returns on Nov. 15 and 16.

Ginowan City is the host municipality of MCAS Futenma and Camp Foster.

The event will take place at Ginowan Seaside Park and will showcase the city’s signature products like produce, seafood, livestock, crafts and more.

Take advantage to purchase some fresh produce and commercial products while you try your hand at crafting woodworking, catching fish with hands, and packing as many veggies as possible in a bag.

There will even be an opportunity to pet baby goats!

Check out some demonstrations like “Hijaorase,” goat-fighting bouts and brown sugar making. There will also be static vehicle displays of fire engines and police cars. Live music, dance performances, a clown show, arm wrestling competitions, drone flight demonstrations, and other entertainment will also round out the festivities.

Following last year, you will also get a chance to win sandanka (a.k.a. jungle flame), a type of flowering plant of Rubiaceae, for free.

This will be a great opportunity to rediscover the best of what your local neighborhood has to offer.

Don’t miss the fun at Ginowan Seaside Park!
