Summer is here, which means the annual Kinser Festival will be coming back to the Marine Corps installation in Urasoe City on June 13-14. In addition to familiar programs such as Fun Land rides, military static displays and food trucks, this year’s festival will offer a couple of special opportunities for attendees.

First, Smash Mouth, one of the most popular rock bands from the 90s, will perform live. Their legendary songs, such as “All Star,” “Walkin’ on the Sun,” and “I’m a Believer (a cover of the Monkees’ song)” can not only dazzle long-time fans, but also put smiles on kids who never heard of the band, as some of the tunes are associated with Shrek’s funny face. Smash Mouth is scheduled to take the stage Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m.

Another big feature of the festival will be a skate park, which will be set up onsite. Gear will be available for free rental, so why not join freestyle sessions and fun competitions? There will also be demonstrations by professionals.

Kick off your summer fun at Kinser Festival!
