Rainy season finally ends in Okinawa

It’s finally over! This year’s rainy season, which is also known as tsuyu, has come to an end in Okinawa.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) announced the end of the season in Okinawa on July 2. This announcement came 20 days later than last year and 11 days later than the average.

Although this is much-anticipated news among beachgoers, the sky in Okinawa remained cloudy on July 2, just like a reminiscence of the unusually long rainy season.
