VIDEO| Speakin’ Japanese: Gasoline prices keep rising!

Following trends from last year, the price of gas continues to rise in 2022. Just like in other countries, the increasing cost is becoming an issue in Japan and Okinawa.

If you tune in on a Japanese TV, you may see news reports on the price hike with the phrase, “Gasorin ga neagari shiteimasu”, which means “Gas prices are rising.”

“Gasorin ga neagari shiteimasu”

(“gasorin”– gas/gasoline, “ga” – a particle to support a subject, “neagari” – rise/hike, “Shiteimasu”  – be doing ~)

Ok, let’s save energy and resources, and see you in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
