White Beach Festival returns April 15 and 16

White Beach Festival returns April 15 and 16
Come April 15 and 16, White Beach Festival is coming back to the naval base on the Katsuren Peninsula for the first time in three years. Details are yet to be announced, but this is expected to be an open base event featuring a car show, live entertainment, static displays of military vehicles, attractions for kids and more.
It was almost a decade ago that this festival became a spring event (It had been an autumn event before that). The rescheduling took place against the backdrop of the humanitarian effort the U.S. Navy provided to the Philippines after the country was stricken by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. Although the change came as a result of the incident, the festival has been commonly recognized since then as a seasonal event to celebrate the spring.
Despite the three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, White Beach Festival’s status as a fun seasonal tradition remains.
Let’s be there to celebrate the comeback and keep the spring tradition going!
