Okinawa, Japan – Scot Garner, General Manager of Construction for American Engineering Corporation (AEC), presented a Silver Sponsorship-level donation of $18,000 to J. Phil VanEtten, USO Okinawa Area Director, on behalf of the company. The donation will help support the programs and services offered by the six USO centers across Okinawa.

AEC has a long-standing relationship with USO Okinawa, and this donation reflects their continued commitment to supporting the U.S. military community in Okinawa. In addition, AEC played a critical role in constructing the new USO Schwab center. The center offers top-notch amenities that improve the quality of life for military members stationed at Camp Schwab and keeps them and the surrounding community connected. The partnership between AEC and USO Okinawa exemplifies the importance of working together to enhance the lives of those who serve our country.

VanEtten expressed gratitude for the continued support from AEC. “I cannot overemphasize the importance of having a quality sponsor and mission partner like American Engineering Corporation. To the best of our corporate memory, AEC has supported USO Okinawa for 50 years. We truly value their support and could not do our mission without them. We cannot thank them enough.”

USO Okinawa offers essential services and resources to military members and their loved ones, from events that boost morale to spouse and family programs and transition assistance. This donation is part of AEC’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community and support organizations that serve the military. USO Okinawa looks forward to continuing work with AEC to improve the lives of those who protect and defend our nation.
