Leaders with 10th Support Group visit historical sites around Okinawa including Ie Island in a study of their significance during the battle of Okinawa, Dec. 19. This visit facilitated the development of critical thinking skills, provided an opportunity to reflect on historical events and reinforced valuable lessons from the past. Soldiers hiked to each site on Ie Island, including Mount Gusuku, exposing them to the terrain and effect it had on actual battle. This event is conducted often to ensure leaders are educated of the rich history of the island, improving their leaderships skills.
