Sometimes decision-making gets difficult. When making a big purchase or signing a contract, we don’t want to jump to conclusions. There is a useful phrase to help us work around difficult decisions.
“Kazoku to soudan sasete kudasai” which means “Let me consult with my family.”
(“kazoku”– family, “to” – with, “soudan” – consultation, “Sasete Kudasai” – let me do ~)
Likewise, you can say “Tsuma to soudan sasete kudasai” or “Joushi to soudan sasete kudasai”, which means “Let me consult with my wife” and “let me consult with my boss” respectively. Let’s not hesitate to reach out for help when necessary.
