It’s true that winter in Okinawa is relatively warm, but the weather during this season isn’t the greatest when compared to the rest of the year. In fact, you’ll find that during the wintertime, the sky often gets cloudy on the island.

Despite the gloomy weather, don’t let it get your spirit down. Instead, let’s make this a language-learning opportunity.

Today’s phrase is “Ainiku no sora-moyou desu,” which means “Too bad, we have a gloomy day” or “Unfortunately, we have bad weather.”
