Okinawa, Japan – [July 7, 2025] – The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is proud to announce the upcoming TEDx UMGC Okinawa event, taking place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Butler Officers Club, Okinawa, Japan. This independently organized TEDx event will bring together diverse voices and bold thinkers from across the community under the theme “Bridging Communities, Inspiring Change.”

TEDx UMGC Okinawa will feature 12 dynamic speakers, each delivering thought-provoking, original talks ranging from 10 to 15 minutes. The event will run from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a networking reception from 4:30 to 7:00 PM with refreshments and a cash bar.

Admission is free, but seating is limited, and reservations are required. Talks will be livestreamed and recorded, with videos later published on YouTube.

“We are thrilled to bring TEDx back to Okinawa as a platform to elevate local voices, explore bold ideas, and connect people across backgrounds and cultures,” said the organizing team at UMGC. “Our goal is to inspire positive change—one idea at a time.”
