If you’re looking to enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine and cold cocktails with a group of friends, look no further than Asian Dining Bar A-Danny.
Located in Chatan, A-Danny’s professional Indian chef will tantalize your taste buds with his tandoori chicken and 14 different types of curry.
“Our two most popular curries are Butter Chicken (850 yen) and Lamb Chop (900 yen),” said manager Kazuhiro Baba, who added that they’ll serve it the way you want. “With each curry dish, you can choose from mild to super-hot.”
The restaurant is currently having a campaign called “The Challenge.” If you can eat five dishes of curry, four servings of rice, three naan, and two orders of tandoori chicken (a total of 8.38 pounds) in an hour, you will eat for free and receive a 10,000 yen ($83) coupon that can be used for future visits to A-Danny. If you can’t scarf all that down, you’ll be charged 5,000 yen. So far, no one has successfully completed The Challenge. Maybe you can be the first.
For lunch, 900 yen will get you all the naan you can eat, a dish of curry, salad bar, tandoori garlic chicken, rice and a beverage. Kids can enjoy mild chicken curry, a naan, jelly dessert and beverage for 600 yen.
But don’t think this is your typical Indian restaurant. Decorated like a tropical resort, complete with a well-stocked bar, A-Danny offers an atmosphere that is laidback and friendly. It’s simply a fun place to relax and unwind.
Inside the restaurant, besides standard table and chairs, there are sofas and bar stools. So, people can enjoy drinks at the bar before and after your meal. Many folks just stop by A-Danny’s to try one or two of the 70 different kind of beers they serve.
And this Indian restaurant has happy hour each day from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Order an Orion draft beer, glass wine or high-ball (whisky-soda) for 200 yen.
For those of you with a large group, there is a two-hour all-you-can-drink option with dinner for 1,500 yen.
The place can hold 100 people and has a large parking lot in the front of the restaurant. It is also helpful that most of staff speaks English well.
