“I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My grandfather once told me that I can do whatever I set my mind to. I liked listening to his stories about when he served in the Korean War as an Air Force pilot. After he passed away, I decided to follow in his footsteps by serving, but I also wanted to challenge myself. I joined the Marine Corps to prove to myself and show my grandfather that he was right. I can do whatever I set my mind to.”
