While Okinawa doesn’t have full-scale theme parks at this moment, there were some in the past with attractions like Ferris wheels and rollercoasters. One example is Okinawa Expoland, a theme park, which opened in Expo Park in 1975. Although it was popular in the 80s, admission declined in the 90s, which led to its closure in 2000.
