Traveling to Thailand just got easier if you’re stationed on Okinawa. A new direct flight connection between Naha Airport (OKA) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok is now operating through low-cost airline Thai AirAsia.

Thai AirAsia is a subsidiary of the Malaysian low-fare airline AirAsia and Thailand’s Asia Aviation.

The flights, which started April 2, will connect Naha and Bangkok four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Tickets can be booked online and as of April 4, a one-way ticket is priced at about 15,600 yen or more and roundtrip tickets for about 30,500 or more.

The opening of the Naha connection follows a 2022 addition between Fukuoka and Bangkok by the airline.

Make plans and take advantage of a great opportunity to explore while you’re stationed on Okinawa.
