Near Camp Foster is a set of challenging stairs dubbed the “Stairway to Heaven.”
Grab your walking (or running shoes) and get ready for some cardio. You’ll break out a sweat but at the end of it, there is a beautiful view and green space to catch your breath.
Getting there is a bit difficult, as it is in a residential area. Make sure to park on Camp Foster near the Firehouse Gate and walk over to the stairway.
It’s a perfect place for “Supōtsu no Aki” (or autumn for sports in Japanese) this season!

*I did not measure the distance from the bottom to the top of the stairs, but the healthcare app on my smartphone indicates that I walked roughly 250 to 300 m.
