OKINAWA

Johnson Town in Iruma City is an impressive district where 130 picture-perfect 1950's-style wooden American military housing units have been renovated within the 25,000 square-meter area and a few have been converted into shops or restaurants. From Yokota Air Base, the area is only a short 40-minute drive. There are many American-style features in the neighborhood like road signs, neatly trimmed lawns and porches making us feel as though we’d strayed into an old Hollywood movie.

Today's Japanese phrase:

“Natsukashiku narimasu!” 懐かしくなります! = It makes me feel nostalgic!

("natsukashiku" 懐かしく = nostalgic, "narimasu" なります = it becomes/feels like.. )

Besides Johnson Town, there are countless tourist attractions in Japan. So, don't miss this nice refreshing season, and let's explore them as much as possible!
