OKINAWA

(USO Okinawa)

Camp Foster, OKINAWA, Japan -- Phoenix Park Hotel, part of the Phoenix Corporation, is a beautiful hotel located in Nago, Okinawa, and seeks to be a source of comfort and relaxation to United States service members by providing enjoyable and luxurious accommodations. Recently, owner Hawari Habrawi presented a generous bronze level donation of ¥1,000,000 to J. Phil VanEtten, USO Okinawa Area Director.

“At Phoenix Corporation, we want to do our part to support U.S. service members and their families especially those deployed away from home. I realize how difficult it is for families to be separated from home. I have a son in the United States Air Force, so I rarely see him, my daughter-in-law, or my two grandchildren. Serving in the military is difficult and a huge strain on families, which is why Phoenix Corporation wants to help the USO. The USO helps to ease the pain and stress of being deployed. We are happy to help in the mission and hope service members and their families can visit our hotel and enjoy the beautiful city of Nago.”

Understanding service members and their families are often far from home, owner Hawari Habrawi hopes Phoenix Park Hotel provides an opportunity for service members and their families to experience and enjoy Okinawan culture. Nestled in Okinawa’s second largest city, Nago, the Phoenix Park Hotel provides comfortable and luxurious accommodations when visiting and exploring the northern part of the island. The hotel’s large property is surrounded by beautiful beaches, historical attractions, and nearby authentic dining experiences.

Phoenix Corporation’s substantial contribution to USO Okinawa supports impactful service member and family programming that strives to strengthens the morale of America’s armed forces. Additionally, their donation allows the arm of USO Okinawa to extend beyond our installations and to various parts of the surrounding community.

“Our USO Okinawa mission continues to be extremely important to the military commands we support, our U.S. service members in Okinawa, and their families. Unfortunately, sponsors to USO Okinawa are fewer and further between as compared to Pre-Pandemic years. When sponsors like Phoenix Corporation make donations to the USO, it means a great deal to us and how we deliver support to the commands in Okinawa, our service members, and their families,” said J. Phil VanEtten, USO Okinawa Area Director. “Sponsors like the Phoenix Corporation truly make a difference and helps us with our mission. The USO exists “for the people who service” and the Phoenix Corporation helps us provide great center operations and programs to them.”

While acclimating to Okinawa can be a challenging process, the Phoenix Park Hotel group seeks to ease this process by providing a beautiful home away home for service members and their families, particularly with their easy reservation process and breathtaking views.
