U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Felicia Bangaru stands at attention during her Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Award ceremony on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 9, 2024. The Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal is awarded to Marines and Sailors for meritorious service or acts of heroism and was awarded to Bangaru for her exceptional efforts in coordinating logistics support during a 4th Marines exercise. Bangaru, a native of Florida, is a supply chief with 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division.
