  1. Why do you love working at the USO?

Working with the USO is a passion of mine because I truly believe in our mission to strengthen America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country. As the Field Programs Manager for Camp Kinser, I feel proud to create programs that can positively impact our troops’ lives. What makes my job even more meaningful is that I am a product of the great programs the USO offers. I often share how attending my first USO program at three years old sparked my love for dancing and has since led me to travel the world to pursue this passion. Now, I get to pay it forward by teaching free dance classes in my spare time and sharing my cultural heritage from Guam with my community. Overall, it is an incredible honor to contribute to an organization that has shaped my own life and to now play a part in uplifting the spirits of others.

  1. What is your favorite memory of working at the USO?

My favorite memory would be the deep connections I made with our service members and their families. In particular, the workshop I organized on Self-Love Affirmations stands out as a special moment, as it allowed spouses to share their raw and unfiltered stories, inspiring them to prioritize self-love while caring for their loved ones."

FEATURED PROGRAM:

USO Kinser’s Tasty Tuesday - 'A Taste of Guam' event holds a special place in my heart as my favorite. It allowed me to share my deep love for Guam, celebrate my Chamorro heritage through vibrant dancing and flavorful cooking, and foster a sense of connection with my community despite being away from home for over two decades. This experience was a meaningful showcase of my culture and a source of joy for military families and the local community.
