She finds solace in the ocean and all things sunshine and enjoys exploring the island with her husband and German Shepherd, Zeus. Meghann has a passion for animals and enjoyed working with various animals before joining the USO Okinawa team.
Why do you love working at the USO? I love working with our diverse and enthusiastic team at USO Camp Schwab, as we can support service members deployed to Okinawa throughout the year as part of the Unit Deployment Program. I truly enjoy providing a home away from home for our service members and keeping them connected to family, home, and country.
What is your favorite memory of working at the USO? My favorite memory of working at the USO is when our team supported the redeployment of one of our UDP Battalions with a farewell breakfast as they awaited their flight home to reunite with their families and loved ones.
FEATURED PROGRAM: Storytime with Schwab pairs a Camp Schwab single service member with a military child for story time and a craft centralized around a book theme. Several service members volunteering for Storytime with Schwab are deployed to Okinawa with their families stateside. This program allows them to connect and enrich the lives of our Okinawa military families by also allowing them to feel connected to their families back home. It’s amazing being able to watch our service members establish those connections.
