Best of all, for the summer, the zoo is offering free admission for children 15 years old or younger. The offer runs from July 19 through Aug. 31.
Many activities are planned throughout the period including Night Zoo, where visitors can check out nocturnal creatures like bears and jaguars while enjoying other attractions, every Saturday, Sunday and national holidays until 9 p.m.
Night Water Show, a projection-mapping display, will also run nightly on weekends and holidays for 10 minutes starting at 8 p.m.
On Aug. 2-3, the park will host Eisa Dance Festival. Then, from Aug. 9 to 11, Ice Matsuri (festival), where the zoo animals are treated to frozen popsicles, will be held. The festival will also feature a “cool” science show with liquid nitrogen and an experimental workshop where you can sprinkle various spices on sherbet.
On Aug. 17, visitors can enjoy a superhero show Kamen Rider Gavv and, on Aug. 24, there will be an anime show for Kimi to Idol Pretty Cure (You and Idol Pretty Cure)♪.
