With the festival season reaching a peak on the island, another big one returns to Okinawa City on Nov. 23.

The Internation Carnival will bring live music, dance performances, a parade and plenty more to enjoy. The festivities commemorating the city’s 50th anniversary will take place in the Koza Music Town and Gate 2 Street area.

The performances celebrating the city’s diversity include samba dancers, urban sports demonstrations and music by the III MEF band. The parade will start at noon on the day of the event.

  • Time: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

  • Venue: Koza Music Town (26.335188, 127.799481) and Gate 2 Street

  • *No parking space will be available for the event. The venues are within walking distance from Gate 2 of Kadena Air Base.
