After closing nearly a month ago, Nakagusuku Castle Ruins, a popular tourist spot, have finally reopened to the public.

The UNESCO World Heritage site near Camp Foster closed in April due to the COVID-19 outbreak. While the area has reopened, visitors are required to follow guidelines including facemasks and social distancing practices, according to the official website.

Guidelines for visitors:

  1. Please wear a mask.

  2. If you have a fever or cough, or if you feel unwell, please refrain from entering the castle.

  3. If you have traveled abroad for the last two weeks, please refrain from visiting at this time.

  4. Please ensure a social distance with other visitors.

  5. Please use cash tray when paying for admission.
