OKINAWA
hydrangeas

(Shoji Kudaka)

It was just several weeks ago that we were concerned about the lack of water. Now, with the arrival of some rain, it finally feels like the rainy season is upon us. Another good thing about the gloomy weather is the return of hydrangeas.

Yohena Ajisai En, a hydrangea garden in Motobu Town, will open its doors for visitors on Sat., May 11 wanting to enjoy the nearly 300,000 blooms spanning 40 varieties.

Take a walk around the 10,000 sq. km.-wide garden filled with colorful flowers such as hydrangea serrata, hydrangea blue diamond, and hydrangea chinensis ‘Big White.’

Don’t let the rain discourage you from going out and enjoying the beautiful flowers this season!
