OKINAWA

()

Minna Island, a small remote island located off the coast of Motobu Penisula, is surrounded by beautiful and peaceful waters. It feels really nice to be on the sandy shore of the island, especially when you chill out there by yourself.

Try this phrase: “Watashi wa kono ‘beach’ wo hitorijime ni shiteimasu,” which means “I have this beach all to myself.”

(“Watashi” – I, “wa” – an article to indicate a subject, “kono” – this, “wo” – an article to indicate an object, “hitorijime” – monopolization, “ni” – an article to come with an adjective or an adverb, “shiteimasu” – doing ~ )

It is still hot in Okinawa and the beachgoing season carries on. Let’s hit the beach and have some fun. See you in the next episode of Speakin’ Japanese!
