This year’s summer solstice on June 21 falls during Japan’s hot, humid rainy season. Fortunately, the rain is steered clear, giving us a bright, sunny day to enjoy the beginning of summer.
Today’s Japanese phrase is:
“Kyoretsuna hizashi desu!” 強烈な日差しです! = The sun is so bright!
“Kyoretsuna” 強烈な = strong , "hizashi" 日差し = sunshine, ..desu です = .. is ..
Take advantage of the rainy season’s sunny days because they don’t last long before the rain clouds return.
