In the U.S., May is when Asia and Pacific American Heritage Month is observed. According to the U.S. Library of Congress, the month is for reflecting and celebrating “the important role that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) have played in our shared history.”

What better is there to celebrate the special month than a gathering of entertainment and food?

On May 25, Kadena Air Base will host its Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Heritage Festival at Bob Hope Elementary School. Activities planned include various dance performances and plenty of delicious foods from diverse parts of the region.

Learn more about AAPI Month and enjoy the rich culture at the festival with your friends and family!
